Trees for Schools ProgrammeHundreds of trees donated to local schools![]() To celebrate the launch of Lyreco’s new Sustainable Website, Lyreco have launched a Trees for Schools programme, where over the coming months Lyreco will donate 100’s of trees to Schools in the local area near our 2 main offices in Telford and Dublin. On the 14th July, Lyreco donated the first of many trees to Southall School in Telford.
In the pictures and video below are Dave Walmsley, Lyreco MD and pupils from Southall School planting 5 British native Birch Trees in their garden area, which the children will be able to enjoy for years to come.
Regarding the project Councillor Hilda Rhodes, cabinet member for Transport, Environment and Community Protection, said: “Telford & Wrekin Council welcomes the support that Lyreco has given to school and community projects across the borough. Lyreco’s trees-for-schools is a great initiative; not only does it make our schools more attractive, it supports our sustainable schools programme as well as helping to support the curriculum; making teaching and learning more enjoyable. ![]()
